Araucaria by camaraviajera
A lonely Araucaria, west of Neuquen Province, Patagonia Argentina. Araucaria is a genus of evergreen coniferous trees. It’s very common in certain areas of Patagonia -both in Chile and Argentina-. To some of the original inhabitants it’s considered sacred. They’re living fossils, dating back to the Mesozoic age. Part of BBC’s Walking with dinosaurs was shot here.
